Ifrane: The "Switzerland of Morocco"

Nestled in the Middle Atlas Mountains of Morocco is Ifrane. Often referred to as the "Switzerland of Morocco," this small city has nice weather, European-style buildings, and beautiful natural scenery. For people who like the outdoors, and for people who just want to relax, Ifrane is the place to be.

Architects and the Past

Ifrane was first made in the 1930s when France was a colony. It’s built in a mix of European styles. Its clean streets and red-roofed chalets make it look Alpine and pretty. The city was constructed as a mountain retreat and is a welcome respite from the sweltering heat of much of Morocco.

A safe place for activists to go

The environs of Ifrane comprise rolling hills, beautiful lakes, and dense cedar woods. National park of Ifrane is a natural reserve for a rare breed of Barbary macaques, which represent the only location where these species of monkeys are found. Dayet Aoua Lake is located a small drive away from the city and is an amazing location to have a lunch while hiking or take a boat ride. Well-Known
